Quinta das Bágeiras Garrafeira Red
Grape varieties: Baga (60%) and Touriga Nacional (40%).
Vinification: Fermented for 5 to 8 days in an open press without destemming (the berries are not removed from the bunch). The grapes are then racked several times a day using wood pulp until they reach the right intensity. The wine then finishes fermenting in old wooden barrels. It is bottled without any fining or filtering.
Aging: Old wooden barrels for 18 months.
Colour: Ruby.
Aroma: Elegant nose, notes of wild berries, spices and fresh herbs.
Flavour: Juicy, expressive, long and full of vigour.
Serve: 16 to 18⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage.
Harmonisation: Meat dishes, game and cheeses.
