Maquete Barro Red
Grape varieties: Moreto (Amareleja), Touriga Nacional e Alicante Bouschet (Montemor-o-Novo).
Vinification: Total destemming for two old vats, spontaneous fermentation and contact with the skins for 15 days with slight submersion of the cap. Vats ‘opened’ in March and separated into different stainless steel tanks. Unstabilised.
Aging: Stainless steel vat.
Colour: Ruby open.
Aroma: Closed, with soft vegetal nuances combined with red fruit and spice.
Flavour: Light but consistent on the palate, with a subtle hint of clay. Enveloping and balanced acidity throughout.
Serve: 16 to 18⁰
Consumption: Immediate.
Harmonisation: Versatile, meat dishes, game pie and marinated partridge.
