António Madeira Vinhas Velhas Red
Grape varieties: Old vines (20 grape varieties).
Vinification: Alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in a small vat, with little extraction. After pressing, it was transferred to a used French oak barrel where malolactic fermentation took place.
Aging: 18 months in used barrels of various sizes, followed by 6 months in stainless steel.
Colour: Ruby open.
Aroma: Pure and complex, with notes of granite, stone fruit such as peach and cherry, as well as notes of plum and hints of aromatic herbs, flowers and pine forest.
Flavour: Balance and freshness, fine and soft tannins, ending in a very long mineral finish.
Serve: 16 to 18⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage.
Harmonisation: Roast kid, codfish and stewed veal.
